One of my most favourite art in February. Yep, i watch Go Astro boy Go with my little sister on tv because it's for the younger audience. But hey, i myself enjoy the show the Same as the previous version too! :D

Plus, them as the Powerpuff girls since their colors are also red, green and blue

More Astro Boy drawn in Autodesk sketchbook, the goat of free software! Like seriously, I don’t hear much about its especially on art related content on YouTube. I’m sure they’re , mentioned somewhere at some point but didn’t get much of a spotlight while I was scrolling through.

The order from left to right is the order when I made them. Also that Demon Slayer screenshot, that table painting I did was actually impressive by my standards. And yes some of these are not fully colored bc either the color isn’t right or got distracted making other things lol.

For my headcannon for the 2009 universe, Tobio “haunts” Astro not out of malice or jealousy, mostly because he genuinely wanted to keep him company. Or maybe he got bored of heaven and annoys Astro like an older brother would do.

Usually if you guys see both Astro and Tobio together, it’s always the ‘09 duo. Oh and if you’re curious, I call the 09 Astro “Stripes” because of his shirt. Thought it’ll be fun to have different versions to have their own unique nicknames if they ever came across each other like “Raincoat” for Pluto due to his first appearance.

Go Astro Boy Go is pretty deeply detailed, now hear me out-

Now I'm gonna talk about Go Astro Boy Go for a minute and hyper analyse it because Istg there is so much hints and details the show is giving us that is going incredibly unnoticed by the public and I WON'T HOLD IT IN ANY LONGER

Now it can't be an Astro Boy story with out his major character trait of being a robot replacement of a dead kid, but in the more kid shows of Astro I find that the way they keep it in is by not denying it, but rather not bringing it up while giving subtle hints to the older audience that it did in fact happen. And Go Astro Boy Go DOES IN FACT do this but I NEVER see it talked about so here we go.

For example, Dr Oshay (called Dr. Elephun in the show) has a piece of tech for Astrokitty that allows him to shut of certain systems that he has. Such as sense of smell and other attributes. Yet, for some reason, he doesn't have one for Astro, despite him very much needing it at times like when his heat vision went off the rails and Dr Elephun had no idea how to either fix or stop it, meaning he doesn't know all that much about Astro or was the one who truly created him, because if he did he would've been able to stop the problems immediately.

Now going into the big stuff, the Dr Tenma centered episode (who is called Dr. Fusion in the show). First thing we are given is a picture of Elephun and Fusion in their younger years, it seems like Fusion was irritated that his anti-matter project flopped compared to Elephun's winning project, and in the background we also see a little teaser of Astro and Astro Kitty, most likely still a work in progress seeing as how much older Dr Elephun currently is in the series when the two are officially active and out in about.

Now, when it comes to Dr. Fusion his outfit and design is a direct Easter egg to the 2003 Astro Boy anime. This is very important as in that iteration Dr. Tenma created Astro to replace Tobio, and ended up abandoning Tobio leaving him to be found by Dr Oshay later on and brought back with his past memories of him being Tobio buried inside him. Not fully gone, but incredibly buried.

I have a strong feeling Astro and Astro Kitty were a project the two worked on in the background, most likely Dr Elephun created Astro Kitty as a companion for Astro after Dr. Fusion built Astro, especially when in past iterations Elephun is especially known for giving Astro robotic companions to keep him company. Most likely something happened, Fusion abandoned Astro, and Elephun brought him back along with Astro Kitty.

This would explain how despite thdetail younger, Astro and Astro Kitty are around in the pic. Most likely Astro was officially powered up, as Tobio, and was raised by Fusion as Tobio for a good while until the fall out happened and Fusion abandoned Astro for a good while until he was picked up and restarted by Elephun, with no memories of his past lives before. That would explain what happened during the time jump and why all three kids have zero idea of anything that happened. Astro was reborn (for a third time 💀) Astro Kitty had no idea Astro existed beforehand, and Suzu most likely wasn't even around until much later.

The way they implement this is genuinely very clever, because they most likely could've gone all the way if the situation wasn't complicated. They have no fear saying things can be killed and that things die and can be hurt to the point they die, but explaining how a kid died via hit by truck and was brought back as a robot by a grieving mad scientist is A LOT more morally complicated and gray, so they had to make due the best they can and I thought it was pretty well done and I thought it deserved to be brought into light more.

And as extra info, something I especially noticed in Dr. Fusion's debut episode is that when he meets Astro he avoids interacting with him, only really interacting fully with Suzu or Astro Kitty. Yet, his gaze is almost always on Astro, and when Astro talks to him he falters at random times but brushes it off and moves on. I just find these small subtle details to be pretty neat!

The Media Pioneers acquires Go Astro Boy Go for distribution in North America and Europe

London-based media group, The Media Pioneers (a cooperative media group between the United Kingdom and China), acquired the rights for Go Astro Boy Go for distribution across North America and Europe in March 2024.

A release date is not known at this time.

Go Astro Boy Go is the second overseas animated Astro Boy series initially released in China in August 2019, before debuting in Japan in October 2019 and airing through October 2020. It has 52 episodes and was almost entirely produced by French animation companies Planet Nemo Animation and Play Big + Something Big; Tezuka Productions had an assistant role with the series.

Woof! Netflix's Pluto is really, really good. I had no idea it was an adaptation of Astro Boy (though I did 100% clock the design as Astro-Boy adjacent when Atom showed up on screen). Definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea, but it feels like an eight hour long movie.

The animation is absolutely top-tier-- as in I did not think Netflix would produce something so high-quality in animation-- and while the pacing may be slow for some, I feel like every beat is getting plenty of comfortable coverage. I'd say if you're a Sci-Fi fan, it's a total must watch!

[Also, despite being written in 2003, the deeper themes of the story are still... unfortunately... very topical.]

Miles and Phoenix were never separated, and so they remained best friends through high school and college. They both went to law school, but Phoenix got a BFA and went to law school wanting to defend artistic and creative rights. He also went because he would be bored all day if Miles was still going to school and he wasn’t

Edgeworth actually becomes a lawyer and he works at his mother’s firm

Mia ends up working there instead of at Grossberg’s because it makes more sense that she would work at the firm connected to DL-6 and also uh she would have a woman as her boss lmao (Eleanor ends up becoming like a mother-figure for Mia, and Miles becomes like a younger brother to her)

Since Mia isn’t working at Grossberg’s, she wasn’t involved in the Fawles trial (which was prosecuted by Franziska). Diego was the defense attorney on that one, and he went on a solo mission to investigate Dahlia. He and Mia met and became friends, but Diego kept the Dahlia investigation close to his chest and a secret, partially to protect Mia (since they were friends now and since she was a new attorney and inexperienced). Diego and Mia finally ask each other out one day, and they plan to have a date later that week, but Diego then has to go to a meeting he has…which was with Dahlia…and he got poisoned…and by the time he wakes up, Mia is dead and they never got to go on that first date. He was asleep and unable to protect her, which is why he didn’t tell her about the Dahlia investigation in the first place. He ends up blaming the Edgeworths (Eleanor and Miles) for her death.

Dahlia (Iris) still dates Phoenix since Phoenix and Miles are dummies and have yet to confess their feelings for each other (although Eleanor can tell). Since Mia wasn’t a part of the Dahlia investigation, and since it was handled by a different firm, it didn’t raise any red flags when Phoenix started dating this chick. Phoenix was also in the courthouse library that day because, again, he wanted to go to law school with Miles (subconsciously pulling an Elle Woods).

When the murder of Doug happens, Miles isn’t a lawyer yet since, even though he could have skipped a grade or two, he never did because he didn’t want the increase in social isolation and also didn’t want to get separated from his friends he already had at his grade level. So he’s the same year as Phoenix (senior in college). I think Eleanor would then be the one defending Phoenix (rather than Mia) since she’s also basically a mother to him (he practically lived at the Edgeworth household since his home life wasn’t great, and then he moved in after his mother passed away his senior year of high school. So he’ll call her Mom and such, but he doesn’t refer to Miles as his brother and neither does Eleanor refer to them as brothers since She Knows What They Are [even if they don’t really know yet lmao])

We also figured out that for Turnabout Goodbyes, Eleanor is the one framed for Hammond’s murder since MVK wants to get rid of her as she is still trying to investigate the truth and he can’t have that. Miles has to defend his own mother BUT THEN when Miles starts saying the stuff about how he probably is the one who killed his own father, Eleanor then defends HIM and it’s just…Ough…mother son bonding over murder and death of father 😭😭😭😭
